Our History

Nestled on 150 acres of rolling greens and picturesque landscapes, Knickerbocker Country Club (KCC) in Cincinnatus, NY, has been a beloved destination for golf enthusiasts since 1929. Originally founded as the Cincinnatus Country Club, it was known as one of the finest golf destinations in Cortland County. However, during World War II, the land was temporarily converted into farmland. In 1960, golf enthusiasts Henry and Pat Knickerbocker rebuilt the course, laying the foundation for what has become a beloved local treasure.

Today, KCC is a thriving 18-hole course enjoying renewed popularity among local and visiting golfers. In 2021, a local family with deep Cincinnatus roots took ownership and invested significantly in enhancing both the course and clubhouse facilities. As a result, members and guests now enjoy:

  • A beautifully remodeled clubhouse with a welcoming atmosphere
  • Delicious casual dining from our newly upgraded kitchen
  • Spacious decks offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape
  • Locker storage and other modern amenities to enhance your visit

Whether you're here for a challenging round of golf, a relaxing meal, or simply to soak in the scenery, Knickerbocker Country Club offers an experience that keeps golfers coming back time and time again.

As a proud member of the New York State Golf Association, KCC continues to uphold a tradition of excellence, community, and unforgettable golf.
